Today is President Obama’s last day in office. This isn’t a political post. Just the opposite, I want to share the things that I am going to miss seeing, that I loved while he and his family were in the White House. In the time that I actually paid attention to presidents, I’ve found that Obama was the funniest, even when he wasn’t funny, you had to laugh when he tried. I feel that he was the most up to date (for lack of a better word) president we’ve had. Going on talk shows, being out in the general public and not afraid to show emotion. While there were MANY things that would make me smile when reading articles about him, here are 10 things I’ll miss:
- Pictures showing his love of children, and their love of him!
- Video’s of him trying to sing.
- Him slow jamming with Jimmy Fallon:
- Obama/Biden bromance! Who in this world doesn’t love that???
- His bluntness. President Obama pulled no punches, but he did it in a classy way.
- President Obama and Michelle’s obvious love and respect for each other. He was not ashamed to show it.
- How he related and enjoyed being out in public. Remember the Pizza shop owners bear hug and President Obama rolled with it? People genuinely love being around him.
- The Internet… Need I say more?
Barack can u handle this?
Justin can u handle this?
Enrique can u handle this?
I don’t think they can handle this! pic.twitter.com/aNIlt0f6F7

- Turkey Pardons and dad jokes. (Side Note: Am I the only one waiting to hear a president say “Pardon? No! Off with their head!”)
- Two words… “Obama Out”
President Obama, thank you for your service and entertainment for the past eight years. In conclusion, you were able to accomplish quite a bit against adversity, but you never let anyone see you sweat. Except when you were playing basketball! I will truly miss having you as our president.
It’s nice of you to show your respect for the president. I have great respect and admiration for anyone who serves in this office.
Same! I may be strongly opinionated and know where I’d like to see this country go, but this is one job I could never do.
I have great respect for the office. Have I agreed with everything our past presidents have done. Of course not. Shame to see the country acting the way it is now. May they retire peacefully. Prayers to our next president.
Agreed. I’ll freely admit that I did NOT vote for Trump. But as with all presidents I haven’t voted for, I do not wish him to fail. He fails, America fails and that is not acceptable to me.
Those Biden memes are great! I don’t want to comment on the politics in any other way. I love looking back at all the fashion choices that Michelle and the children have made over the past eight years.

Definitely no political response needed :). We all have our own and there’s nothing wrong with that. But it’s also a flaming match that can cause a wildfire! LOL.
He was a good role model as for how men should be towards men and family!!! What an amazing day in history today as the presidency changes.
I love the Obama/Biden memes. The Biden articles on the Onion are really funny too, I enjoyed reading them over the past 8 years.
Although I didn’t vote for Obama I can agree that he was a good husband and father throughout his presidency.
Despite what a lot of people thought of him, I thought he was a good President. He did try his best. You can’t blame him when Congress was working against him the whole time.
Thanks for this awesome post about President Obama! He will be missed!

I love how Pres. Obama showed us how down to earth he is, a loving husband, doting father.. a true family man. He may have had some flaws, but who can blame him. There is no perfect President. You get into that position and find out there are so many problems you have to resolve. For one man to do it in such a graceful manner deserves my respect.
I have to admit that the first time I seen Obama on the new I said he would make a great president. This was a couple years before he ran I believe. In my opinion, he was a great president. When he because president he had to fix so much before he could do anything for the people. He literally walked into a mess in my opinion. Thanks for sharing your thoughts and to President Obama “Thanks you for your service.”.
I am thankful for his service. I look forward to the new administration, I wish them success so we would be successful as well.

sorry about the typo, it should be *as
I corrected it for you! LOL. Perfectly understandable. I also look forward to seeing what this new administration will do.
I am lucky enough to say that I met President Obama when he was an Illinois state senator and I could tell that he had something special. He was so kind and I couldn’t be prouder to have him as our President and the elegant and smart Michelle as our First Lady. They will be deeply missed but I only see greatness in their family’s future!
Oh that’s awesome! I would love to have met them! They always seemed genuine. And I loved how he had no problem showing his affection for her in front of everyone.
No matter what political side you are on there is no denying that President Obama was a good man. Great post!
The Obama/Biden memes were so funny toward the end of his term in office. They were all over FB and made things funny! I’m excited to see what our new administration can do. Fun post!
I admire him mostly because of his work. He is really awesome not only as president but also as a human being.
