“I have plans.” “I have goals.” “I want to do this/that.”
Do you hear yourself saying that a lot? I hear myself saying it EVERY SINGLE DAY. Here is what my plans/goals are:
- Start my freelance writing business
- Start my freelance editing business
- Get my eCommerce business back off the ground
- Write multiple books for people to enjoy
Why do I want to do that? Because I want to work from the road. I plan to get an RV so I am able to travel. There’s just one itsy bitsy glitch in my plans. Can you guess what that is? If you said money, ding ding ding! You get a gold star! Yes, that paper that makes the world go round. I will need money to travel the country. So, if I plan to travel, I want to be an freelance worker so that I can follow my dreams.
While I am not drowning in debt, I, like many many many Americans, do have it. It’s almost like a right of passage, don’t you think? I will say. It sucks. I’d rather go back to the day and age that we can barter services. Our ancestors traveled cross country in horse and buggies. Carrying their things behind them. Stopping in towns to barter services to take showers or have a bed to sleep in occasionally during these trail stops.
But, back to the national issue of debt. I have it, you have it, a majority of us have it. So, what to do? Well, pay it off of course. But, to do that, I have to have, what? Yep! MONEY!
I’m guessing by now, you want to know, what is this post about? Well, I’m getting there! LOL.
If your job isn’t enough to cut it with paying your bills and allowing you to do what you want, people are looking for ways to make money. There are many side gigs out there for you to do just that. Here is a list that I’ve put together for you.
- Newspaper Delivery
- Pizza Delivery
- Nanny Services
- Dog Walking Services
- House Sitter
- Cleaning Services
- Errand Services
- Sell on eBay or Etsy
- Grocery Store/Fast Food Restaurant Cashier
These are just 11 ways of earning extra money to supplement income that you receive from your current job. I’m going to be trying a few of these myself! I plan to pay off my credit card in the next year. I then plan to pay off my student loan within the next three years. My car loan in the next four years. By the time my daughter goes to college, I want to be relatively debt free so I can put money not only to her dorm living, but, towards my expenses while I’m working from the road while traveling.
What ways have you used to earn extra money for what you’ve needed to save for, or pay off?
