Today is President Obama’s last day in office. This isn’t a political post. I just want to share the things that I am going to miss seeing, that I loved while he and his family were in the White House. In the time that I actually paid attention to presidents, I’ve found that Obama was the funniest, even when he wasn’t funny, you had to laugh when he tried. I feel that he was the most up to date (for lack of a better word) president we’ve had. Going on talk shows, being out in the general public and not afraid to show emotion. While there were MANY things that would make me smile when reading articles about him, here are 10 things I’ll miss:

Are you an RV owner or looking to become one? Do you travel with your RV on vacations only? Or do you drive one full time? I am hoping to become a full time RVer and have been diligently doing my research on what to expect, and how to handle different scenarios. One of the things I researched was rules of the road. There isn’t a whole lot of information, but, this post is my takeaway on groups I’m involved with and other reading that I’ve done.
This recipe is not very hard! It’s not a gourmet recipe by any means. The first hint should have been Sloppy Joes. LOL.
I try to find easy meals to fix during the week. It’s not due to laziness. I just have to drive about 50 minutes to work, work 8.5 hours and then another 50 minutes back home. So, if I don’t make meals on Sunday for the first few days of the week, I will make meals that will take less than half hour to forty minutes.
As a single mom I have my daughter with me 50% of the year. This would have been less if I had chosen not to sell my home last year and move closer to where my daughter’s father lives. Where my daughter chose to go to high school. With that said, single mom’s need time to decompress and enjoy their time when their child is with their parent. Here are some ways to get out of mom mode and out of the four walls of your home:
One of the biggest ways of making money online is selling product via eCommerce sites. Personally? I LOVE selling on eBay. I’ve been a member since 1999, somehow forgot about my first account and signed up again with a new account which has me registered as a member since 2003. I used to only buy from sellers. Then came my divorce. I became a single mom living on a crap income and receiving alimony from my daughters father. As we split custody 50/50, we didn’t do child support. But alimony wouldn’t last forever, right?

This past week we had our first snowfall. It was a little less than an inch, but it was enough of a reminder that we need to keep ourselves prepared for a winter emergency. Now, I’m not talking about:
New Year, New Start right? Make 2017 the year you get your finances in order. There are many ways to stay on top of them to make sure you don’t go past due each month and in general, just maintain your overall financial health. Here are suggestions for you:
I haven’t updated in quite awhile! As I’ve written about before, I reached my highest weight. My feelings were:
- Not happy with myself
- Didn’t like the way I looked
- I’d hide myself behind people in pictures
- My health was suffering
- I was becoming depressed
I started taking Phentermine 15mg on October 23rd. My most recent weigh in on New Years Day I was down 20.2 lbs! I was thrilled! I made it down to my second loss of 10 lbs. On the scale, I went down into my next set of 10’s. In several more pounds, I’ll be down to where I was when I gave birth to my daughter. After that, I still have 40 lbs to go. That will get me to just under the weight I was at when I got pregnant. I will have lost 60 lbs at that point. That is my goal amount to lose. But, what I’d actually like to do is lose another 20 – 25 lbs beyond that. Putting me at 80 – 85 lbs lost. I won’t be where I was in high school or college. I don’t think I’ll ever see that number again! I was 115 lbs! But, it will put me where I was when I was on Weight Watchers and lost 40 lbs. I’m hoping to keep my metabolism going and maintain the weight.
Dear 2018 Jacqui – 2016 wasn’t horrible to us. We had our first book published. HUGE accomplishment! We moved to Pennsylvania to have more time with our daughter. We launched our Freelance Business Website, our Author Website and really stepped it up with our blog here.
