Going into 2019, I’m updating some things in my apartment. Some that I have, and will, wonder, how the heck did I get along without that??? I am going to post, the following month, after giving myself time to use them, some of my favorite things that I had purchased. I may include some of the, “what was I thinking???” items as well.
In December, I had purchased a few things. My son asked me, “why would you buy yourself things right before Christmas? What if I had purchased it for you as a gift?” I know, I took a chance, but, you have to understand… The outlet my microwave was plugged into went caput! I couldn’t heat up my water for coffee, before going to work. I was desperate!
So, without further ado! Here are some of my favorite things.
Hamilton Beach Electric Kettle
As mentioned above, the outlet that my microwave was plugged into died on me. I wasn’t able to quickly heat up water for my coffee, before leaving for work. I was desperate! Not having my caffeine kick was not working out for me. This electric kettle is simple to use. Add water, place it on the base that you plug in, push down the lever and let it heat up. It will automatically shut off. At less than $20? it was a no brainer for me. I ordered it on my mobile app a few days before Christmas and went to pick it up so I didn’t have to fight the lines with the last minute shoppers.
Black + Decker Helix Performance Premium Hand Mixer
With the holiday baking upon us. I found that I needed a new hand mixer. I mix everything by hand as they did generations ago, but, I was against the clock and needed to mix things up faster. So, I went ahead and sold my soul, purchasing a new hand mixer. I loved this one because, in a few years, I am hoping to make the open road my home and in an RV, space is minimum. I thought this was the perfect mixer as everything needed will fit in the case that you attach to the mixer. Keeping everything in one place when you put it away.
This next few, while I may not have purchased them, have to be added to some of my favorite things list!
Cricut Explore Air 2
My son and his girlfriend purchased this for me as a Christmas gift. I was so surprised and excited and I hooked it up right away! I am a designer and have my own Etsy shop, where I create and design, not only jewelry but, window decals, decals for tumblers and ceramic tiles and much more. This Cricut was an upgrade to the one I had and I absolutely LOVE it! I’ve been making new decals with it, for my customers and it is so much faster than my original one. I’m still learning how to use it and everything I can do that I couldn’t do before :).
Rolling Cart Organizer
Keeping in mind, my business, my son and his girlfriend also got me a rolling cart organizer. It’s perfect because I have all of my jewelry supplies on an end table, stacked up and had to keep going back and forth as needed. Now, I have everything in one spot and it makes things so much easier when I am creating my pieces.
If you purchased anything in the month of December, what would be added to your “some of my favorite things!” list?
