Weight Loss Update – Month 3

I haven’t updated in quite awhile!  As I’ve written about before, I reached my highest weight. My feelings were:

  • Not happy with myself
  • Didn’t like the way I looked
  • I’d hide myself behind people in pictures
  • My health was suffering
  • I was becoming depressed

I started taking Phentermine 15mg on October 23rd. My most recent weigh in on New Years Day I was down 20.2 lbs!  I was thrilled!  I made it down to my second loss of 10 lbs. On the scale, I went down into my next set of 10’s. In several more pounds, I’ll be down to where I was when I gave birth to my daughter.  After that, I still have 40 lbs to go. That will get me to just under the weight I was at when I got pregnant. I will have lost 60 lbs at that point.  That is my goal amount to lose. But, what I’d actually like to do is lose another 20 – 25 lbs beyond that.  Putting me at 80 – 85 lbs lost. I won’t be where I was in high school or college. I don’t think I’ll ever see that number again!  I was 115 lbs! But, it will put me where I was when I was on Weight Watchers and lost 40 lbs. I’m hoping to keep my metabolism going and maintain the weight.

Boondocking ~ How to Find Your Free RV Campsite

mobile-home-1539082__180

By now, you all know that I am hoping to purchase an RV and travel the country while working from the road. I previously wrote about Six of my Favorite Travel Campers. There are many people who want to live this kind of lifestyle, but, feel they can’t afford it. So, I researched that further and found that it is actually cheaper to live as an RVer than it is to live in an apt or house, paying rent or mortgage. Here’s my post on RV Budgeting That Won’t Break the Bank. What Can the RV Life Cost?

4 Questions to Ask Yourself Before Moving into a Tiny Home

I’ve shared with you that I recently moved from Delaware to Pennsylvania. I sold my house and got rid of so much clutter and, in general, stuff.  I’ve always lived in places that have been at least 800 square feet. My first house after I got married was just under 1600 sq ft. My last home before moving to PA was 950 sq ft.

Our Weekend in New York City

This past summer, my daughter and I went to NYC. One of my bucket list items was to stay in Times Square. I wanted to see the life and vibrancy of the city and how late that lasted. We drove in to the Trenton Train Station and managed to get an earlier train, woohoo!  It took about 1 1/2 hours to get to the city.

Taking a Page From our Millennial Generation. Don’t Settle.

I have to admit something to you all.  I am TOTALLY jealous of the Millennial generation. Not only because I’d love to relive my youth… (Oh come on, you all know you want to relive your youth. You can’t lie to me! :)) And certainly not because when they do stupid things, it’s all online forever. I am extremely glad that the stupid things I did will never see the light of day again.

RV Budgeting That Won’t Break the Bank. What Can the RV life Cost?

You all may remember a post I did on Six of my Favorite Campers. I went in and really researched what is out there that I could use if it were just me traveling. Now, keep in mind, I do hope to live in one while working from the road.  That is my goal once my daughter graduates high school and college, then moves on with her life. Although, you know mother and daughter relationships. She tells me now, “Don’t let me stop you. Go. Have fun.” Gee.  Thanks kiddo. 😛

My Dream is Becoming a Reality!

Last night, the next step in my journey to follow my dreams happened!  My new business website went live!  Why am I sharing it here with you?  Well, I’m excited about it and want to share it with everyone. I want to shout it from the rooftops with the hopes it takes flight :). This is my first step in taking the reigns and leading my life in the direction I want to go in. I want to be responsible for my own destiny. Not just a number to an offsite payroll department.

Small Town USA – Yes, I live here

oxfordarialview

This is an Arial shot taken from a drone of our town, Oxford, PA.  I love how picturesque it looks!

Every month, on the first Friday, my town shut down the main streets around our Borough.  It’s never postponed or canceled. Rain or snow, the show will go on!  This is one of the joys I’ve found living in a small town.

Top 4 First Cars For Your Teen Driver

It’s come to that time in my life that I’ve been dreading, but, waiting for with excitement!  Next year, my daughter will be driving! Her father and I have started to discuss getting her a car.  We are making the decision to get her one that will (hopefully) last her six to eight years.  This will get her through college and started in her profession. We figure the car will be a minimum of nine years old and preferably with less than 90k miles on it.  I was even looking at SUVs, because we live out in the country, and figured she should have all wheel drive for bad weather, but, her father suggested against that due to less gas mileage and more expensive to upkeep.  Good reasons of course. So, back to cars we go!

Six of my Favorite Travel Campers

I’ve mentioned in previous posts, that my plans once my daughter graduates is that I want to work from the road while I travel the country. Since it’ll be just me traveling, I just need a smaller camper to pull behind my car. I currently have a 2014 Kia Soul. So, weight limitation is a concern. Upon further research of the Soul’s towing capacity, even with the smaller travel campers, I am going to have to purchase a new SUV to pull my new home with.  I will go into the reasoning why I am choosing to go with a travel trailer instead of a an all in one RV in another post.
